Visions of our OptiMOM Selves:

Picture
A way to motivate you to focus on health is to create a healthy vision board. Make a collage of pictures, affirmations, and things that represent health, vitality, and the way you want to look and feel. This is unique to you...not what others think represent health, well being and vitality. Maybe it's pictures of healthy foods you hope to choose more frequently.

There are a lot of websites that you can play with to make word clouds like the one here.  Just Google "free online word clouds".  You can do the same for images you're looking for and paste onto your collage.  Consider it on a page you can print and put in your day planner,on your desk, mirror, dresser, or inside a cabinet where you keep the mugs you reach for everyday. Maybe you're more a digital mom and it makes more sense to make the digital image your desktop or phone background.  Find ways to remind yourSelf where you want to be and you'll find ways to get there.

Put your vision board somewhere you'll see it often.  Notice the inspiration and opportunity for attention to your self talk as you are reminded of where you're headed.  If you're a "word girl", use words.  If you think in images and love bike riding, find images of healthy women riding bikes.  Fill in the spaces between the images with your favorite quotes or scriptures to point you in the direction you want to go.

You are beautiful.  You are powerful.  You can experience your optiMOM Self.
