What is being formed?

My mom is a potter and I'm so grateful to have her work in my home; used for function, beauty, and a reminder of her heart shared with me. Right now, she has a clump of clay that needs to be soaked before she can form it. I was struck by the idea that we sometimes need to be "soaked", steeped in something, to become pliable. We might not like it...though we may...and if I can choose it, I mean to say, welcome it, I can receive the soaking with gratitude.

I wonder what will be formed in me with this season's soaking...

I wonder what is forming in you as you're becoming more pliable.

I wonder how we can choose to take "in" what is offered to us as we choose to participate in becoming what is in store for us and if we can delight even, in the refining processes. As a client this morning said "I'm excited" about the changes...as she reflected on challenges.

What do Your Eyes See?

It matters that we stay in tune with what our bodies need to be well. The practice of putting on our oxygen masks before we help others is an important reminder. Are you making your body as important as the cupcakes you volunteered to make or the committee you said you'd chair? Is your health as important as that phone call, next post, or email? Is your company's satisfied customer worth your heart health?

You caring about YOU makes how you show up to care about the world around you so much more effective, efficient, and powerful.

Not only are you worth taking care of, you have a responsibility to do so.
