Defining "well" and even optimal, is certainly not "one size fits all". A group brainstorming session said an "optimal mother" is:
authentic, supportive, nurturing, humble, nourished, wise, faithful, intuitive, efficient, intentional, attentive, strong, energetic, organized, loving, motivated, encouraging, devoted, courageous, loyal, connected, balanced, healthy role model, filled with grace and possessing fearlessness. No pressure, right?!? In fact, I'm interested...what would you add, grow, develop or even remove in that list? OptiMOM Coaching is holding a safe space for you to "be real" as you navigate the exploration how you define and LIVE the optimal version of your life. Live life ~ keep showing up and do what you think is best at the time. Please (and thank you.)
"There are certain things in life where you know it's a mistake but you don't really know it's a mistake because the only way to really know it is a mistake is to make that mistake and look back and say, Yup, that was a mistake. So really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake because then you'll go your whole life not really knowing if something is a mistake or not." -- Ted Mosby, How I Met Your Mother |
