As a mother of 5, having children has brought some of my most beautiful, painful, empowering, humbling, Life giving and debilitating experiences.  

I have been:
  • the young mom (15!)
  • the old mom (my oldest and youngest are 23 years apart)
  • the new mom 
  • the working full time mom
  • the stay at home mom
  • single mom
  • married mom (10yrs) , divorced and re-married mom (20+)
  • the PTA mom
  • the sports mom
  • the Moms Group Leader mom
  • the home school mom
  • the college graduation and wedding planning mom (while still nursing and changing diapers!)
  • and so many other descriptions we could add (but would make my website even more text heavy than it is).  

I "get" you...motherhood is my "first language".  I know that you can experience motherhood that is joyful and Life giving. Working with people to develop, through intention and attention, an expression of their healthiest and happiest version of themselves, is an honor and brings me great joy. 

It is my priority to be a safe support person who will give you perspectives, tools, and strategies that guide you in becoming the mother you desire to be. Your kids need you to be healthy and happy if you hope the same for them when they grow up. 

* Please note that my coaching clients are not limited to mothers.  If you are not a mom, please know that I still would love to support the optimal expression of your innate potential or match you with a colleague.
** Please also note that if you cannot afford coaching right now, there are very likely Pay It Forward sessions already paid for and available.  Please DO NOT let money be why you aren't doing what needs to be done to improve the well being of yourself and your family.  Please inquire.

Much of the work I do as a Certified Health Coach is to hold the posture of a reflective partner who will help you define (through tested methods and questions) the ideal, unique, and most well vision and version of you.  

By holding a mirror for you to continually see your picture, we will collaboratively design the best path to experience your ideal and optimal life. What is "well" for you will look different than for your neighbor.  (...and very potentially will look different for you a week, month or year from now)

Coaching Defined:

“Coaching” can be defined as “a developmental strategy that enables people to meet their goals for improved performance, growth or career enhancement.”  This definition differs from the model some of us tie to athletics: one where an authority figure telling people what to do differently.  In my definition, the focus is on the “coachee” rather than the coach.  In my model, the "coachee" is the expert, the coach simply asks the right questions and reflects the truths needed for optimal performance and function.  In this model, the coachee has a goal that the coach helps him or her to meet through a relationship that involves two-way dialogue rather than one-way telling.  The focus is positive and objective, on particular improvements that the coachee wants, rather than on obstacles, deficiencies and limiting factors.

What are Wellness Coaches?

Wellness Coaches work together in a collaborative relationship with an individual or group.  The focus and support facilitate discovering the "best self" with an emphasis on well being and a healthier living. The role of the coach is to uncover the personal values and reasons for pursuing greater expression of wellness, to identify and enhance motivations for change and offer a supportive partner in that journey.  

Wellness Coaches are trained experts in establishing safe relationships and practice core coaching skills that are rooted in evidence based research.  These methods assist an individual or group in identification, inspiration for action, and support for lasting change over time. In this collaborative model, there is great respect for the client as the expert in his/her own life, using a strength-based focus, drawing from the authentic expression of that individual or group.

With a focus on building self-efficacy, professional coaches are trained to:
• accept and meet us where we are today;

• guide us in doing the mindful thinking, feeling, and doing work that builds confidence;
