Depending on the ages of your children, spring can be an especially trying time. Schedules, temperatures, clothing needs, even the daylight all seem to shift and throw in the innate demands for a cleaner, more organized house...the waves keep coming. As time goes by, you learn that they do and they will keep coming, but you can and you DO learn to ride them. Remember the skills that helped you navigate rough waters before? You have them. You can leverage healthier perspectives, habits, and thoughts to steer you where you want to be traveling in this season. You CAN learn to surf, Mom. I know it.

Consider setting a timer (phone, kitchen, computer, etc) that helps you remember to pause and check your breathing. Regular attention to our state of BEing will help us practice more mindful living more often. Win win for you and everyone around you. By: Danna Faulds
(capitalization added by me) Life comes as is - no warranties, no extra button sewn inside the sleeve, no spare tire in the trunk. The twists and turns of circumstance or illness catch us unaware, each day a thousand reasons to despair, lament, forget the reason we are here. And yet, despite the odds, the flame inside each one of us burns true. Like butterflies emerging from cocoons, we learn to spread our wings and fly. We seek and find the Light. This body / mind is born with all that is required to know freedom. Over time, we find life's only guarantee - we cannot be separated from our Divinity, nor cut off from the Source of our Supply. ------------------------------------------------------------ A client remarked yesterday that she felt like she was emerging from her cocoon. Gratefully, she felt like another had come INTO the cocoon to be part of her transformation. How beautifully powerful for us to know (and experience) that we're not alone. |
