OptiMOM Group Coaching Session
There is room for modification to most appropriately fit the audience, but for a general picture, the following is an outline of how the time will be spent:
40 - 50 minute workshop session (in person or by phone)
I will remain for additional, less structured Q & A time and private discussion.
The time can be as interactive as appropriate and comfortable so that the participants actually experience coaching processes. The host setting (school, office, gym, church or place of worship, mother's group, etc.) can be a part of the presentation so that it's most effectively knit into the work participants are doing.
For instance, in a chiropractic office, referencing chiropractic principles and analogies used in patient education scripts is an easy addition to the presentation. In a faith based setting, tying spiritual principles into the presentation; in a mom / parent group, the values of family, community and involvement are woven into the session.
Face to face, in person sessions and telephone sessions are effective in mobilizing moms into action, increasing their confidence, hope and Peace.
At the core, OptiMOM Coaching holds a vision of a WELL world and to get there, we need WELL parents raising WELL children.
THANK YOU for YOUR part in that.
40 - 50 minute workshop session (in person or by phone)
- Introduction: welcome, introduction (my experience, passion, credentials, intention), understanding the value of a personalized wellness vision
- Definition of coaching, identify and reflect on the power of words, awareness of postures/perspectives, encouragement for private reflection
- Creating value and familiarity: of time, of unique vision (hopes, wishes, dreams), and identifying priorities specific to each person
- Discussion about personal reflection: clarifications, confidence assessments, identify challenges and gaps between "here" and "there", identify previous positive "wins" relative to elements of the vision, notice strengths, opportunity for sharing for those that are comfortable, explore the needed structure for success
- Explanation of goal setting: nature of goals, other ways to identify actions, brainstorming that moves toward the vision, identifying the most important actions to pursue desires, explore what "resonates" (comes with the energy for growth), confirm the connection to vision, assist translating to SMART goals / intentions
- Discovery time: reflection, affirmation, encouragement, empowerment, appreciation for their commitment to their best self, and wrap up
